February 1st: Happy February! I've had a bit of trouble the past few days sticking completely with CAD...its seems harder since I'm working until 9pm. I come home FAMISHED! And of course, the vending machines there seem to have a magnetic pull on me at times as well. I'm doing fairly well making good choices, but I know if I could stick to CAD completely, I would be even more sucessful.
February 2nd: Still maintaining at 259, which is pretty good considering I usually see a 1-2 lb increase every Monday following weekend binges. Yesterday I was especially proud of my food choices; no processed foods entered my mouth!
February 6th: Yay! New sighting of 255 today. I've been so busy at work...working 9-10.5 hours every night. I don't usually take a dinner break, so my calories have been a lot lower than normal, and I'm moving all the time at work. I guess I can't really count that as exercise though...I haven't been keeping up with the treadmill...I just feel so tired in the mornings that all I do is lay in bed until its time to get ready for work, then when I get home from work I go to bed because I'm so tired. I received a call from a doctor's office who I had faxed a resume to about 8 months ago. At the time they were just looking for a medical assistant and they felt I was over-qualified. They are now doing clinical research and are looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator to perform all the lab tests and correlate all the research data. The hours will be from 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday thru Friday. I really love the work I'm doing at the Microbiology Lab, but the hours are just too hard for me to keep up. I hardly ever see my daughter anymore except for the half hour I get her up before she goes to school. I have an interview at the Dr's office tomorrow, so maybe something good will come out of it!
February 10th: I'm having an awful time keeping up with my journal...these night hours are just not good for me. I should be switching to day hours at the present company I'm working for by next week. I was offered the other job I interviewed for, but when I mentioned to my current employer that I needed a job with daytime hours he said it shouldn't be a problem to switch me. I'm down another pound to 254 which makes a total of 10 lbs lost since mid January! I'm going to wait until I've maintained at 254 or lost before I report it to the group because I don't want to jinx myself!
February 23rd: Wow...its been almost 2 weeks since I've even journaled. I haven't been doing very well at keeping up with my "diet" stuff lately. The job situation seems to take every bit of energy that I have. I haven't been making the best food choices the last few weeks. The scale put me back up to 259 this morning, which is the weight I started at February 1st. I hope it's just water weight, but with all the junk I've eaten the past few weeks it wouldn't surprise me if it was fat. Today is my day off and I'm going to try to get organized and get my housework done. I'm going to try to make out a schedule and see if it gets easier to keep up with things if I can follow a schedule.
